To All You DumbASS Fredericton Drivers

Another rant, but I can't help it.

I had to pick up more ribbon for Sarah's invites this afternoon, so I had to trek up to Big M's. By the time I got home, I wanted to beat someone senseless! I can totally understand road rage in Freddy Beach!

Seriously, by the time I made the round trip, I had been cut off three times by people jumping out in front of me WHEN THERE WERE NO CARS BEHIND ME!!! and then slowly crawling wellllll below the speed limit. Did I have an invisibility cloak on my car? You couldn't see me barrelling down the street you halfwit!

There's also that special breed of driver in Freddy that is constantly looking in all their mirrors to watch what you are doing behind them. Honestly, these people have their heads whipping around, looking in all their mirrors at the traffic behind them ... BUT NEVER WATCHING WHAT TRAFFIC IS DOING IN FRONT OF THEM!!!!!!!!!! Eyes on the road, blockhead!

But my real disdain is for all those INCREDIBLY LARGE ASSHATS driving up on the ramp FROM Regent St onto the bridge ... AND STILL INSIST ON SLOWING AND YIELDING when it's our right of way, it's our lane, there is no yield sign and hasn't been for 10 freaking years!!!!!!!!!

Smarten the fuck up out there people! Or you might just see your plate number and make and model of your car posted here with a description of your offence!

Please Follow Through

One of the things that really pisses me off about people is lack of follow through.

If you say you're going to do something, then fucking well do it!

Today is a perfect example. Today was supposed to be a half-day for me - and not at my instigation. Every Wednesday, Child A gets picked up at noon by his grandmother. So Child B's mother told me that she would be picking Child B up at the same time on Wednesdays since Child A leaves then. Yay for me! Half-day Wednesdays. Until Child B got dropped off this morning and I was informed that he would pick Child B up at 2 or 2:15 since he had an appointment for shots. So no real half-day for me. Thanks for the last minute change.

(Ok, I know there are some people who would say suck it up, I get paid for this, etc... but damn, I am talking about follow through! Don't tell me you're going to do one thing and then do another!)

Ummm ... let's do what we say we're going to, ok?

Look at it this way - by not following through you are taking advantage, showing disrespect, and a lack of appreciation for another's time, friendship, or abilities.

The next time you are going to bail or flake or assume a change is ok, take a minute to think of how the other person is going feel.
