Quilt #3

This one's for my Grammy. An early birthday present. It's a lap quilt to keep her legs warm while she watches TV.

Aren't the chickadees too cute?! As soon as I saw it, I KNEW I had to make something with it for my grandmother. I used a flannel backing so it would be even warmer for her.

Gift Box Cake

So today's class was using fondant. It didn't turn out too badly. Of course, I came home reeking of vanilla. I'm really glad I took this class ... I know could have learned to use fondant on my own, but the class has been great. Lots of tips and tricks that I never would have thought of.

Now, what to do with this cake? I think I will give it to Alivia's mother tomorrow morning, to share at work.

Persecution on The View

I don't know if anyone got to see, will see tonight, taped, etc.. The View today ... BUT IT ROCKED DA HOUSE!

Particularly the part where conservative big mouth, Ann Coulter, complained that the ladies at The View were attacking her.

I am staunchly anti-Ann Coulter. I think she is a hate-mongering, misogynistic racist. But I have to give her props for braving the ladies on The View to promote/discuss/defend her new book GUILTY: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America.

Yes, Ann Coulter was on The View today ... and ended up complaining that they were attacking her. Someone should have informed her that was not a "View" attack. As Elizabeth can attest to. And get this! Even Elizabeth, that George Bush-ass kissing suck up, had issues with the book. Particularly the part where Coulter believes that single mothers are raising criminals, runaways, etc ...

Joy was particularly quiet during the interview ... but she looked like the cat that ate the canary! Sherry, who is borderline Conservative, took Coulter to task for her behaviour on during the interview as well.

When they came back from break, I think they were supposed to continue on with the interview ... or at least talk some more about the book. But lo and behold, there was no Ann Coulter. She ran like the yellow-bellied Republican she is.
