Insanity

I feel like I am on the verge of it.

My schedule is becoming more hectic between the daycare, the Epicure, friends and pesky needs like eating and sleeping. All of which I can deal with. What I can't deal with are children who are cranky, spoiled, teething, and clingy. I should say I can't deal with the child who is all those things. OYE! She is going to drive me to an early grave. I really thought we were making progress .... last week she was great. She seemed to have adjusted to daycare (after a month and a half) and was in good spirits. Granted she was teething, but she was still doing well. THIS WEEK is a totally different kettle of fish. She's still teething, clings like a burr, and cries at the drop of a hat. If I don't pick her up - she cries, if I take off my damn glasses - she cries, if I put her down for a nap - she cries, if I walk away from her - she cries, if I try to make lunch or snack - she cries, if i check her diaper - she cries, if someone makes eye contact - she cries. Basically, do or say anything - she CRIES. There's been many a time Lauren has stood with her hands over her ears. Needless to say, this long weekend is very much NEEDED.

I guess I was spoiled with Lauren. She was a wonderful child to take care of. Not that she still isn't. Most days. But she's hitting the terrible twos, so it's starting to get iffy. One day is great, the next, not so much. It's like toddler PMS. You never know which way her mood is going to swing. But I digress. Lauren is a pretty great child. Taking care of her was and is a piece of cake. Jessica ... can't say the same. It's been a struggle from the very first day she started. On top of all that, are the exploding diapers ... EVERY DAY. I swear to God, I do not get paid enough to deal with all the issues involved with Jessica. She's easily three times the work of Lauren.

So that's it, that's my post ..... a huge bitch fest. But I REALLY needed to unload.
