The Trip

I swear the Gods are telling me that I should no longer travel to Grand Manan.

I left early Friday afternoon for the ferry. I wanted to catch the 5:30. I travel the SJ highway, then across the coast. Well, I get past Geary and I nearly ran off the road! A huge lightning strike by the road. Keep going and another lightining strike, but a little farther away. But the static on my mp3 player and FM transmitter were so bad, I figured I should turn them off. Keep on going and almost run off the road again! I swear to God, there's nothing scarier than a bolt of lightning hitting the ground only meters away from your vehicle. Then comes the rain. It rained BUCKETS ... almost couldn't see through it. I get to Camp Petersville and suddenly it's blue skies! After that, it was pretty smooth sailing. No pun intended.

Coming back tonight, I saw two friggin moose. They scare the shit out of me. You can't see the buggers until you're right on top of them. Or they're on top of you, as the case may be. It's the one driving hazard that actually scares me. I can drive in anything, under any condition. Hell, I drove myself to the hospital in extreme pain when I had kidney stones. I once drove from Stanley to Freddy in a horrible blizzard, with white out conditions because Teena didn't have her insulin. I can deal with weather. I can deal with pain. I can deal with wildlife .... but NOT moose. Buggers.

Oh well, no need for me to make the trip for several months. Thank goodness.

CALLING ALL BLOGGERS!

Where the hell is everybody!?!?!?

I can count on ONE hand the number of people who are updating their blogs regularly. And don't accuse me of being the pot. Granted I am not doing it daily, but at least I am posting every few days.

Not only has eveybody abandoned their blogs, but I think that the Princess has been abducted or something .... she's MIA .... omg! .... maybe she is lying in a heap at the base of her pole, having suffered a pole-related injury and nobody has found her yet. Someone call 911!

I don't know about MarthaSue ... suffice it to say, I think she has been taken over by tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing granolas out on the West Coast. She's MIA again .... we may need to have an intervention, perhaps something involving FD's and lots of laughing.

Anyway .... for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE post something on your blogs! Anything. A picture, a joke, the latest embarrassing moment, ANYTHING!

What do you think? Is it frame-able? Or am I seeing something that's just not there?
