Fuzzy Victoria?

So, my mother says to me this afternoon - "Do you want to go see 'Wild Hogs' this evening?" Ummm... HELL YES! I'm always up for a movie! However, I was floored that she was being so spontaneous! Maybe retirement agrees with her? The movie - what can I say? Other than - it was snort-pop-through-your-nose, pee-in-your-pants funny! William H. Macy was hilarious! He made the movie, not that the rest of the cast were slouches. They were all comical, but Macy was the icing on the cake. If you don't get to see it in the theatres, then you really have to rent it on DVD.

In other news ... not that it's very interesting, but I really want to tell you .... my mother, in her excitement over my trip, bought me a new suitcase today! She felt it was neccessary that I have a new suitcase for this momentous trip. And they were 60% off at Sears. I don't know which was the more important reason. But I kinda think it was the 60%. (For those of you who don't know why this is momentous, I will tell you. I have never been on a plane. Gasp! I have never been farther than TO. So this is a BIG trip for me.)

Also ... my pillow arrived in Victoria. Yes, you read that correctly. I KNOW I am weird. That's the first step, right? Recognizing you have a problem. Seriously, I will not be able to sleep well when I'm in Victoria if I don't have "my" pillow. Well, I can't take the damn thing in my suitcase. So, I ordered, from Sears, the very same pillow I currently have and had it shipped to Anita. I got the e-mail tonight that it arrived at the Colwood Corners catalogue store and is ready for pickup! Do you know how excited I was to get that e-mail? I really am a loser. But it just makes this trip even more concrete. It makes me MORE excited about it!

And to top it all off ... I am going to spend the weekend with the best scrapbooking friends ever! Minus my Susan, of course. But don't worry Sue, we have that covered. Well, as covered as it can be with you in Vancouver. Just you wait. We'll take picutres. With the mood I have been in the last couple of weeks, I thought I would never get excited about this weekend. But after doing some committee work at lunch with the girls, I really am getting excited. It doesn't hurt that the Fuzzy Duck patrol will be there, either.

Which leads me to my final thought. How am I going to get Fuzzy Ducks to Victoria?

My life has become extremely boring. I mean, my days are busy when Doodle is here ... nothing like a toddler running around your house to liven up your day. But seriously! It would be more exciting to watch paint dry than spend any time with me.

You know your life has reached a serious low when you get excited about finding a new lipstick! God! I picked up the new TruBlend Loose Powder and really like it ... I am not big on heavy foundation, so this powder works for me. But notice I said I really like it. Not much enthusiasm there, right? Well, after supper, since I was supremely bored, I tried on a the new TruBlend Blushberry. And holy crap! was I excited! I LOVE this lipstick. It's beautiful! I am seriously considering going to get the other one that I was colour matched to.

I can't even scrapbook, because I have hit a wall! I want to work with one particular photo, but I can't until it gets developped in B&W ... which could be a few days. And in the meantime, I have packed all my stuff for the weekend crop.

So, if you want, throw some suggestions my way to keep myself entertained ... but please try to be realistic ... don't suggest jogging or something equally absurd.

I suppose I could have someone over for supper Tuesday or Wednesday nights, but you'd have to work for your dinner ... not very hard, because I am very easily entertained. Really, I'm as easily entertained as a cat chasing a flashlight spot across the wall.
