Interested?

I don't know if any one is interested ... but here it goes.

I LOVE to go to the symphony ... I really enjoy classical music. Imagine that? How polar can you get? Nine Inch Nails and Beethoven.

I really love to go listen to Symphony NB, but I don't know anyone who would like to go that's actually in this province ... Anita is all the way out in BC, so I can't ask her ...

Would anybody like to go? It's Tuesday, March 27th at 8pm.

Anita, the Victoria Symphony is doing The Sounds of Classic Cinema April 27, 2007 - Fri. 8:00 PM. Tickets are between $19-38 ... not bad.

So It Begins

Deep breaths! Deep breaths!

Ok, most of you know that I am a social retard and extremely scared of public speaking. So why the hell did I sign up to be an Epicure rep? I am sitting here asking myself that. I love the product. I believe in it. I just can't believe I am willingly, I said willingly!, putting myself through the torture of speaking in front of a group of people.

And you know what's worse for me? The fact that my first party, only 52 hours away, will be for friends. Oddly enough, speaking in front of friends makes me even more nervous. I am a big enough idiot without having to reinforce that fact to them! So anyone reading this who is also going to Mel's party ... you are forwarned ... I will act like a spazz most of the evening.

Oh, I wish Tracey was home so I could talk to her ... but she's away for March break! And another thing that has me freaked out ... sadly enough ... is the clothes! I haven't worn business attire in three years! Three yeeeeeaaaaars! I don't know if anything even fits! I sooo have to do a hostess group, so I will have at least one party a month that will be casual.

Ok, I'm done flipping out. For now.

Deep breaths! Deep breaths!

Ghost Rider

In order to save his dying father, young stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze(Nicholas Cage) sells his soul to Mephistopheles (the Devil, for those of you who don't know his real name). Realizing what he's done, he breaks up with Roxanne(Eva Mendez), the love of his life and leaves home. Years later, Johnny's path crosses again with Roxanne, now a reporter, and also with Mephistopheles(Peter Fonda), who offers to release Johnny from his contract if he agrees to become his fabled Ghostrider. His quest? To vanquish Blackheart, Mephistopheles' nemesis and son, who plans to overthrow his father and create an even more horrifying Hell than the old one.

I really wanted to go see this movie in the theatre because one, it's an action flick and two, all the cgi .... looks better on the big screen than on TV. Although a little corny in a couple of places, it was actually a pretty good movie. It was quite funny ... lots of little one liners. And watching Nicholas Cage do Elvis impressions was hilarious. Most people may not have caught some of the mannerisms, but they were classic Elvis. For those of you who don't know, Cage is a serious Elvis buff, so I guess playing an over the top Texas stunt cyclist was the perfect opportunity for Cage to throw a bit of Elvis in the mix.

I would recommend this movie if you are an action movie fan. If not, don't bother seeing it, you'll only be disappointed.
