Random Rambling

So I finished a LO this evening ... one of the ones I started 5 years ago. It's kinda kitschy, but c'est la vie! I also organised my albums a bit - instead of each one being a jumble of LO, there is more continuity in each one now - family, friends, celebrations, MOI. Yes I am doing an album all about little old me.

Tomorrow, my goal is to get a couple of LOs done and play with some of my Bellas ... I really like Cosmobella, so I will see what I can come up with. Also, I have blocked off the evening so I can pop out to see Miz Sue for a bit, before she leaves us on Monday. Sniff, sniff!

Tried the Tandoori Doritos tonight - didn't really like them. They were ok, but I'm not wasting calories on ok. The Spicy Curry Lays are MUCH better. Made another Hawaiian Cheesecake tonight. Hope Sue likes pineapple!

Keaton is doing well. She's only popped one stitch so far. Grrrr. She just won't take it easy. Buddy has been a perfect gentleman to her - he hasn't tried to get her to play. He just curls up with her and cleans her.

I closed my CTMH party last night - I got the Sans Alphas - upper and lowercases, as well as the More to Adore Paper Pack. Can't wait for the March party! Buy 2 stamps, get 1 free! Yippee! More alphas for me!

Now it's time to curl up with a book. Speaking of which. Nick, can I borrow your Jody Picoult book? Maybe I can get it from you tomorrow night? Pretty please?

Friends Rock!

The last few days have been very good friend-wise.

I received a wonderful RAK last night from Princess and l'il Princess. In fact, I think they may have left too much. They left the cutest Bella stamps.

Today, after having a "wonderful" day with my mother, I really needed a pick me up. I was a tad disheartened, to say the least. So I went to Nick's to pick up the Canadian Scrapbooker magazine with Hollee's LO in it ... only to find out it was sold out. But Tina, bless her generous heart, gave me her copy to buy and said she would wait until more came in. But I was still feeling a little blue. Then Mel and Nola came over for supper. Of course, we gabbed and that put me back in my usual spirits.

So I have to say a big THANK YOU to all my friends. You definitely know how to make a girl feel better!

What Would She Look Like Toothless?

Take a look at that smile.

What do you think when you see it?

I'll tell ya what I think. I would love to knock her teeth down her throat.

That smile, to me, looks so smug and so supercilious. Like she's standing there thinking the following thoughts:

  • I am sooooo much better than you.
  • What a bunch of poor, pathetic slobs, they are.
  • I wonder what my wonderful husband - Tom Cruise for those of you who didn't know - is doing right this minute.
  • I am soooo deserving of this attention.
  • Yes, you should worship me. I am Mrs. Tom Cruise, after all.
So what do you think about her smile?

I'm Baaaaaack!!!

Well, that was a nasty bug I had! I'm still feeling a few residual effects, like stomach pain and the greasy edge of nausea once in a while. But at least the full body heaves, overwhelming nausea, dizziness, and the "unmentionable" are done. It was inevitable that I got it. Of course Lauren had it, and that was the way I got it. But Mum was taking care of someone at work who had it too ... needless to say Mum is now recovering from it after returning early from bingo last night, retching her guts out.

So, other than expelling all solids and fluids from my system any way my body could, what else have I been up to? Well, Saturday, Sarah Bean was up from GM, so we went to see 'The Number 23' with Jim Carrey. This role has been a great departure from his usual characters. I would say it's well worth the watch. Not quite what I expected, particularly at the end, but definitely not an unpleasant surprise. Saturday night, I cooked up storm for the CTMH demo that never happened and watched 'The Chronicles of Riddick' - one of my faves ... can't go wrong with Vin Diesel.

I woke up at 4AM - my stomach was making such loud, weird noises, it scared my cat off the bed! I spent the next 12 hours in torment. Thank goodness my mother was able to shoot me up with Gravol - I can only imagine how much worse it could have been - the heaves and stomach cramping was bad enough with the injection. Instead of watching the Oscars, I taped them and watched 'Coolhand Luke' with Paul Newman. It was an interesting movie - funny in places, but ultimately sad and depressing. I won't recommend it.

I watched most of the Oscars Monday - Ellen was hilarious! I hope she hosts them next year. I like taping them so I can zip through not only the ads, but the blah, blah, blah of speeches. I didn't watch everything ... needless to say I was disappointed in a lot of choices for winners so I gave up. Other than that, I lazed about and recuperated.

Today, Lauren was back. Days like today make it for me. Holy crap! She cracked me up all day! Ok here are two instances that made me LMAO : this morning, she was in her booster seat watching Sesame Street and Lukey came in and stood in front of the TV, blocking her view. All of a sudden she starts saying repeatedly "Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!" Then, when it was time to go for a nap, I said "Ok, it's nap time!" She immediately toddles out to the kitchen saying "Let's go, let's go!" She's priceless!

*******

Just got off the phone with the social director about Aerosmith. I had heard yesterday that they were playing in PEI in the summer. I am tempted. The only drawback ... the venue from hell. Although, this time, I would know what to expect and could go prepared. I guess it all depends on ticket cost.
