Cutie Patootie

Although I have posted a ton of pics on Rugrat Raves, I just had to post a couple of pics of L that I took today when she was fingerpainting. She's too funny! And yes, that is a dollar store bag.

Did Anybody Else?

I want to see pictures, people.

Recipe Time

Still thinking hot dog, so I tried a new one tonight. Holy! Filling! I used the Stagg 97% Fat-Free Chili and the Larsens BBQ hot dogs (jumbo ones) ... was very good!

2 (15 ounce) cans chili with beans
1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs
10 (8 inch) flour tortillas
1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Spread 1 can of chili and beans in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Roll up hot dogs inside tortillas and place in baking dish, seam side down, on top of chili and bean 'bed'. Top with remaining can of chili and beans, and sprinkle with cheese.
Cover baking dish with aluminum foil, and bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 30-40 minutes.

I challenge my blog circle to wear something red on Friday AND, here's the catch, take a picture of yourself and post it on your blog.

Ok, after my comment on Tickey's/Queen's blog to her RED clothes to support the troops post, I thought I should clarify my comment before someone gets his or her panties in a twist.

Do I support our troops? You're goddamn right I do. I couldn't do what they do on a daily basis here, let alone overseas. I think they are some of the most courageous people out there. I thank all those men and women who put themselves on the line everyday.

Do I support the politics for sending them to Afghanistan? No. And the reason is two-fold.

First, we are covering the American governments figurative ass by sending more troops, so that Bush can have his war in Iraq. (And I'm not getting into that, because I'm sure I would get hate mail.) Second, and this is the most important reason, it's doing no good. And it never will. That's a bleak statement, but the truth. Terrorism, the Taliban (ANY terrorist group for that matter) does not fight "by the rules" like the military does. And for that reason military agencies will NEVER win - it's guerilla warfare. We need to figure out a way to fight this conflict more effectively. Terrorism is usually based on an ideal, no matter how warped it may be. And it's damn near impossible to defeat an ideal.

So there, I've clarified my stand. I'm sure I'll get lots of flack for this one. Bring it on.

Movie Trivia - Can't Be Any Easier

Ok, ok, even easier ... and if you can't get this one ... I don't know.

Who said it in what movie what year? You can guess the year.

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

This is as easy as it gets. Well, maybe "E.T. phone home "... but come one, my cat could guess that one.

Movie Trivia - Easier

You've never heard that quote before?

Ok, here's an easier one .... same questions, who, what, when:

"Say "hello" to my little friend!"

Now that one's easy ... it's been on a ton of ads lately.

Movie Trivia!

It's movie trivia time! Who can be the first to guess ALL the details correctly?

Who said the following quote, in what movie, of what year?

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

This is a pretty easy one ... even people who have never seen the movie know the quote.

Aquacise, Week 2

Staying home and making excuses.....baaaad!!!!!

Almost did though. I almost fell into that trap. It's chilly out and I was well on the way to convincing myself that it was too cold to go out and splash around in a pool. BUT I snapped out of that and made myself go and I am glad I did. It was a good workout. The co-ordination thing is coming along. Not looking quite so much like an epileptic whale. And I now have that endorphin high, that after-excercise glow, those pleasantly tired muscles. All is good with the world.

That is until I got to Shopper's. I had to pick up some diet pepsi for tomorrow and some guy congratulates me and asks me when I am due. Yeah, that slapped the glow right off me.

The Piece de Resistance

Party Pictures

The cupcake tier turned out really nice!

Angie, Lisa, Shelley

Nicole(or Heather, as I kept wanting to call her. don't ask me why), Jenn (Sarah's sister), Krista

Nick, Melanie, and the birthday girl

The drinks...well those would be Nick's. She never orders JUST one. They're like shoes, they have to come in pairs.

Sarah is reading Sue's birthday poem.

Sarah with a couple of her gift certificates - Tims and SU.

I will get the pictures up on the blog ASAP. Just starting to move around now. Was feeling a little vomitous last night - don't know if it was the ribs or what. Long story short, I am slow to get going today.
