Tom Stewart or Martha Cruise?

I planned on sleeping in this morning. I was so looking forward to it. But my cat had different ideas. Starting at 7AM, and continuing every 20 minutes, Buddy would batt at things on my bedside table, in the hopes of getting to my water glass. I just kept shooing him away, then going back to sleep. At about 8:15, he finally makes it to my water glass. And proceeds to knock it over onto the floor. And the two books that I have sitting beside my bed. Did I mention that the two books beside my bed were a cookbook and my Stampin' Up! catalogue?

I haven't moved that fast in a long time! It was like a scene out of Mission Impossible! Martha Stewart style! I immediately rolled over to the other side of the bed. Reached down and plucked the catalogue out of the dangerous waters. Contorted my torso so I could deposit the victim on the bed. Flipped around again to save the cookbook. Once I had the cookbook, I threw it to the end of the bed. I immediately sprang back to the catalogue and began life saving measures! It survived, I'm pleased to say. A little water damage, a few wrinkles, but alive, nonetheless!

If I recall correctly, the same thing happened to last year's catty within the first month. Getting wet, that is. Not the glass dropping - water logging - catty saving events.

So what should my new name be? Tom Stewart or Martha Cruise? Or maybe Super Jay?

Well, I REALLY needed my lip and eyebrows waxed, so I went to Shoppers and picked up a Parissa Warm Wax kit for the face. Not one of those ones that you just smooth the wax on, let it harden, then pull it off. Or the ones that come in "strips" that warm between your hands. Nope I got the real deal with the wax you have to microwave and the cloth strips.

Ya know, it's one thing to have someone do this to you and quite another to do it to yourself! To willingly inflict that kind of pain on oneself!? BUT it needed to be done. I can't keep going to the Spa every month, paying $35+ when I can do this for only $9 + HST. And it's enough to do me a year!

So, I did it last night before BB7 came on. Painful? Yes. Satisfying? Yes. Why? Because I can keep the catepillars and the moustachio away without going in the poor house!

It's going to take some practice to get all the hairs at once, but I think I will be able to manage. I actually had to wax one side of my lip twice(oh mommy!)...not enough wax in one area and too much in another.

And I have to say, another perk is the Azulene oil that comes with it, to use once you're done waxing. Takes all the left over wax, wax spills, etc...away. Soothes the poor abused skin. All in all, makes it feel a HELL OF A LOT BETTER than that friggin' Tea Tree Oil.

But one word of advice. Don't get the Azulene in you eyes. Stings like hell! Son of a monkey! Makes your eyes itchy and swollen! Takes hours to feel better.

Well, everybody seems to be on vacation this week or preparing for vacation next week.

So, I have decided to "take the week off" as well. Regarding my blog that is. No word google, no recipe. Just whatever I feel like blogging about.

Right now, it's about a pool. I WANT a pool! Doesn't have to be a big one...just something I can get in when it's 35 freakin' degrees outside! One that I don't have to travel to the nearest community pool. As much as I accept being the size I am, I really don't want to go to a city pool and flaunt it.

So....where to get a well priced pool? Any suggestions?
